Excluding School of Human Kinetics space, CMS manages the data network for the Faculty of Education. This includes the Neville Scarfe Building, Ponderosa E, F, G, H and parts of Hut O-4.

Network

Most rooms in Scarfe and the Ponderosas are networked or have network capability. This allows high speed access to various UBC servers as well as the rest of the Internet.

Wireless network access is available in the Scarfe building and Ponderosa E, F, G, H (as well as most of the UBC Point Grey campus, see wireless.ubc.ca).

Connecting a Computer

Computers in Scarfe/Ponderosa offices must be configured to access the network. People in the School of Human Kinetics should contact their technical staff.
If you are in any other Faculty unit or are using a portable computer that will move around the Faculty, please contact Michael Shepard in CMS ( or 604-822-6290).

Computers may also connect via the UBC wireless network or in classrooms.
