Computer Purchases
The Faculty encourages a review of proposed
computer purchases by CMS staff. We can advise you regarding
items that may or may not be appropriate for our environment
and
your specific use.
Email
Faculty email accounts are provided by
UBC's ITServices Interchange system, but administered by
CMS.

a PDF application here.
We encourage the use of generic email addresses
(of the form firstname.lastname@ubc.ca).
Please arrange through
your departmental/school administrator.
Campus Wide Login (CWL) Account
A CWL account is neccessary to access the
web based access to email (at my.ubc.ca/),
the wireless network and other campus services. See
cwl.ubc.ca for more information.
You should obtain an Interchange account before registering
for CWL
Other Accounts
CMS Services
We are the av, media and computing support unit of the faculty.
We offer a number of services; including
general computing, av support and printing services. Some
units also have staff available to help faculty.
