"My course isn't listed/hyperlinked"
If you are trying to create a new course in CTconnect and your course is not listed or there is no hyperlink, there are a few possible reasons:
- You taught the course in a previous term
CTconnect will only allow an instructor to setup one WebCT course per course number; therefore, if a WebCT course has previously been created, you will need to update the existing course and re-use it instead of creating a new course.
Follow the steps under the section, To Re-Use an Existing Course.
- You are not the "instructor of record"
CTconnect uses course data from the FSC to determine which courses an instructor is teaching.
If you are NOT listed as the instructor at
https://courses.students.ubc.ca/cs/main?pname=subjarea&tname=sub jareas&req=0,
please contact the staff person in your department responsible for maintaining the information on the SISC and ask to have your name added as the instructor of record.
By default, CTconnect only lists lectures.
There is a link on the Create a Course screen that says "Show All". Click to see all of the courses that you are teaching, including any seminars.

"I can't add a section to my course"
Before a course can be re-used, the end date must be modified. The course end date is the date that population of the course will stop, and no further students will be added to the WebCT course.
Note: All students, TAs and instructors with access to the WebCT course prior to the end date will retain their access until the course student data has been reset or individual access has been manually removed.
- If you can't see your section listed
CTconnect uses course data from the FSC to determine which courses an instructor is teaching.
If you are NOT listed as the instructor at
https://courses.students.ubc.ca/cs/main?pname=subjarea&tname=sub jareas&req=0,
please contact the staff person in your department responsible for maintaining the information on the SISC and ask to have your name added as the instructor of record.

"I can't populate my course"
