Here are settings to for Dreamweaver to access the Faculty web servers. Please note that there may be some differences between different versions of Dreamweaver.

1. Under Site --> Edit Sites (or Manage Sites) and choose the Advanced tab

2. Enter a name for your site, a local location for the files and the URL that people will use to access the site.

3. Choose FTPaccess, the FTP Host (ftp .educ.ubc.ca or web.educ.ubc.ca) and your username

• If you are using the Faculty Web Server (ftp.educ.ubc.ca) leave the host directory blank
• If using the CMS server (web.educ.ubc.ca), enter /web-space as your home directory
• If multiple people are updating this site, you should turn on Enable File Check in and Check Out and enter a Checkout name
