Preparing an Existing WebCT Course for Re-Use

CTconnect will only allow an instructor to setup one WebCT course per course number; therefore, if a WebCT course has previously been created, you will need to update the existing course and re-use it rather than create a new course.

Note: It is strongly recommended that you backup any course before modifying it for re-use.  The only way to recover course data/content is to restore from a backup. See Course Backups for directions on backing up a course.

Resetting a Course

Resetting a course removes all students and clears all student data. This is done in WebCT.

Backup first!  If you reset a course, the only way to recover the lost data is to restore from a backup.  See Course Backups.

  • Login to WebCT and load the course to be reset.
  • Click Control Panel.

1

  • Click Manage Course.

  • Click Reset Course.

1

  • Click Select All.

  • Click Reset.
